What counts as a “linked machine”?
Any computer where you've installed HowlBridge and signed in. You can unlink machines anytime in your account settings to free up a slot. The free plan allows one linked machine; Standard and Pro allow unlimited.
Is the mobile app included?
Standard and Pro include the HowlVault mobile companion app for iOS and Android — sign in with the same account to browse your vault and manage sounds from your phone. The mobile app is in active development and will ship in a coming update; paid users get it automatically when it launches. Free plan stays desktop-only.
What happens if I hit my storage cap?
Your existing sounds stay fully accessible — you can still browse, preview, and push them to your caller. You just won't be able to upload new ones until you clear space or upgrade to a larger plan.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from your account page anytime. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. If you downgrade and your vault is larger than the new cap, you'll have 30 days to clear space before uploads pause.
Is there a free trial for Standard or Pro?
No — the free plan is the trial. It's the full desktop product with a smaller storage limit and one linked machine. Paid plans add unlimited machines, more storage, and the mobile companion app. No expiring trial, no credit card hold.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. One click from your account page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. No call-to-cancel, no retention emails, no guilt trips.
Do I own my sounds?
Yes. Every file you upload stays in your private vault. HowlVault has no sharing, no public libraries, no export-to-other-users. Your sounds are yours, and they stay yours.
