Have a Lucky Duck?

Don’t convert to WAV. Lucky Duck callers only play MP3.

Use WAV to MP3 for Lucky Duck instead. It turns WAVs into MP3s and matches every sound’s sample rate so they play together.

Before you convert

Which callers need WAV?

FoxPro and ICOtec Plus callers need WAV: ICOtec Plus models won’t play MP3 at all, and some FoxPro models reject certain MP3s. Lucky Duck callers are the opposite. They only play MP3 and .LD files, so Lucky Duck sounds should stay MP3.

Use WAV

FoxPro

Every FoxPro plays this WAV, including the X360 and X48. Some MP3s won't play on some models, so WAV is the safe choice.

WAV required

ICOtec Plus

Outlaw, Nomad, Hellion, Night Stalker+, Renegade+, 350+ and Atom don't play MP3 at all. Convert first.

Keep your MP3

Lucky Duck

Lucky Duck callers play MP3, not WAV. Don't convert sounds for a Lucky Duck; they won't play.

Questions

About the converter.

How do I convert MP3 to WAV for a game caller?

Drop your MP3s on this page, keep "Game caller ready" selected, and download the WAVs. They come out at 44.1 kHz, 16-bit, mono, which plays on FoxPro and ICOtec Plus callers. It's free and runs in your browser.

Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no watermark, no limit on how many files. It's free because it runs on your own device, so it costs us nothing to run.

Are my sounds uploaded anywhere?

No. Your browser does the conversion. The files never leave your computer or phone, which also makes it faster than upload-and-wait converter sites.

Can I convert a bunch of sounds at once?

Yes. Drop in as many MP3s as you like. Download them one at a time, or all together as a .zip.

Which callers need WAV?

FoxPro and ICOtec Plus callers. ICOtec Plus models won't play MP3 at all, and some FoxPro models (like the X360) reject certain MP3s. Lucky Duck callers are the opposite: they play MP3 and .LD only, so keep your MP3s for those. If you have WAVs for a Lucky Duck, use our free WAV to MP3 converter for Lucky Duck (howlvault.com/convert/lucky-duck).

What does "Game caller ready" mean?

44.1 kHz, 16-bit, mono WAV. It's the same format HowlVault writes when it puts sounds on FoxPro and ICOtec callers, and it plays on every one we support. Pick "Keep original" if you're not putting the file on a caller.

Why are the WAV files bigger?

WAV isn't compressed, so it's roughly 5 to 10 times the size of the MP3. A one-minute sound is about 5 MB. Most caller SD cards have plenty of room.
